About the Founder


Dr. Alka Arora Singh is an experienced education leader and policy expert with a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MBA from Arizona State University, and an M.S. in Economics of Education from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. With over a decade of leadership experience in various roles across the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) and Arizona State University (ASU), Dr. Arora Singh has an impressive track record of success in institutional effectiveness, strategic planning and student success initiatives. At MCCCD, Alka served as Associate Vice Chancellor for the Enterprise Performance Office, leading system-wide efforts to improve performance and implement strategic plans, resulting in the successful launch of the Four Disciplines of Execution and increased revenue streams. At ASU, Alka was Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Alliances, overseeing the development and implementation of transfer student success strategies and nurturing partnerships with community colleges. Alka has also held several leadership roles at MCCCD, including Vice President for Guided Pathways & Integrated Student Support, Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, and Dean of the Office of Strategy, Planning & Accountability. As a respected thought leader and accomplished practitioner, Alka brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Pernix Consulting.
